For a long time, I thought healthy eating had to be complicated to actually work.
I believed I needed perfect meal plans, expensive ingredients, strict routines, and endless motivation to stay consistent. But instead of feeling healthier, I often felt overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, and frustrated every time I tried to “start over.”
At some point, healthy eating stopped feeling supportive and started feeling like another stressful task on my endless to-do list.
Between work, responsibilities, daily decisions, and trying to balance everything else in life, even deciding what to cook every day started to feel mentally draining.
And honestly, I don’t think I’m the only woman who feels this way.
I started noticing that the biggest problem wasn’t necessarily healthy food itself — it was the pressure I was putting on myself to do everything perfectly.
I would spend time searching for complicated recipes, planning unrealistic routines, or buying ingredients I never actually used consistently.
Instead of making life easier, healthy eating was starting to create even more stress.
Over time, I realized that what I truly needed wasn’t more willpower.
I needed simpler systems, more flexibility, and routines that could realistically fit into everyday life.
That mindset shift changed the way I started looking at wellness completely.
At the time, I was also trying to better understand my own food sensitivities and digestive symptoms, which made healthy eating feel even more overwhelming at times.
